The makers of Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh have already completed film's censor with U/A certificate and with this, all doubts about the film release date have been shattered and the film is set for a grand release on April 8.
However, there is small worrying factor here. As per today's censor report, Sardaar's total runtime is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The makers of the film are indeed taking a huge risk as such long duration films requires a solid story to make the audiences glued to their seats till the end.
These are the days films with short running time and majority of films that exceed beyond 2:30 hours are being edited after first itself, if the film gets a negative response.Already, Sardaar's trailers met with a lukewarm response and the film's basic story also shown in the trailer itself.
Amidst these adversaries, the mere presence of Pawan Kalyan, songs and fights aren't enough to excite the fans and only a strong emotion filled story can do the risk. One can't help but feel if boasting such an excessive runtime is confidence or ever confidence of Sardaar's team.
